Always Keep Your Numbers in Check

Always ensure that you are keeping track of the numbers your project is generating. There are loads of tracking mediums and analytical tools that are free and available for you to use. Use these tools to generate the actual numbers your project has and analyze them well. Watch the cash flow, the trends, your team, your partners and whatever is happening and evaluate each step to ensure that your business is constantly heading the correct direction.

When we have passion in our projects, it is very common to be led by emotion. Never fall into the trap of letting your imagination and wishful thinking get in the way of what is really happening. If a project is not doing so well the numbers will show and you should know that it’s time to let go.

Before anyone hopes to lead, we must first be able to believe in ourselves! We need to know and trust in our own capabilities before we have the confidence to bring others along! Learn to cultivate this believe in yourself and you will realise that you begin feeling stronger and more ‘capable’ simply with this self-trust!

From your belief, take action and constantly demonstrate your leadership skills. Remember that how we carry ourselves and will directly influence those around us and we must be able to show that we can both follow and lead by example before gaining the trust of others!

As we continue daily to reinforce this belief in ourselves, we tend to see more and more opportunities sprouting out from all directions and from these; we can then grow and expand our knowledge and abilities.

If you have no passion for it, it usually won’t work

If you have no passion for what you are doing, there’s a high probability that you will fail. Your venture might be generating money but if you are not really enjoying what you are doing, then the fuel for the continuation of your business is limited. Any good project must constantly be able to keep you excited and hungering for more results.

Fall in love with your project and let it give you sensations like chills and butterflies in the stomach and make it touch you when it can. It sounds really embarrassing but I’m telling you, these are real feelings and if you feel them, you know that you are really passionate for what you are doing.

If you ask me, I would say that if your passion is creating money and using that money to create more money. Then you are going to do exceptionally well in this area!

Look for more quality then quantity in Traffic

When working an online business, one of the most important aspects of your business would be to generate traffic to your site. A lot of marketers are achieving this goal but are still not doing very well. The main reason behind this is that the traffic that they are getting is of low quality.

Generating traffic of high quality generally means to really target the audiences that you bring to your website. When you can achieve this, the people that are heading there already have a problem in mind and your product will present itself as the perfect opportunity for them. Users on the internet are being bombarded with loads of information by the second and if you are simply one of the clicks that are pulling the wrong audience, then your efforts are going to go to waste.

I highly recommend concentrating more on the conversion rates of the traffic rather than the actual amount of traffic heading to your site. If you get 1000 visitors but only a 1% rate, then you only get 10 conversions and this amount is the same for 100 at a 10% rate. Now imagine that rate on a 1000 visitors.

Target your audience and you will start to see tremendous results.

The best idea WITHOUT action equivocates to NOTHING

Anyone can have ideas, they are just thoughts that spring out from our minds at any time during the day. You many have just thought of the most powerful idea that could have changed the world but without any action on it, your idea will eventually be worth NOTHING. No action = No results = Nothing!

Always remember to take steps to make things happen because just talking about it and thinking about it is not going to get things running. If you have an idea, talk to someone about it, get it validated and most importantly, act on it. You never know, it might just be that million dollar idea that you were waiting for.

Hey my friends!!

Guess what! I’m currently Blogging in Korea – Incheon Airport! I’m on a transfer to Las Vegas for a live conference event and I had to stay over IN THE AIRPORT for 16 HOURS. I was rather aprehensive at first but well… the experience has been fine and it was really not all that bad! At least there was reliable wireless connection that I could use so I have no complains.

Work is important, but so are your family and your life. Ensure that your life does not only revolve around your work all the time. No matter how much money you make, remember to take some time off to spend it!

Every success, no matter how minor deserves some form or reward. Set up some incentives for yourself and remember to stick to them when you get those goals.

If you find that you are surrounded by other individuals who are negative and simply focus on the pessimistic view you need to change your crowd. Stay with people on training calls, leaders in your industry, and inspirational like minded people that desire what you desire.

This just ties in with Goal Setting – but on a smaller scale, set individual daily tasks that you need to accomplish and get them done, and you’ll realise that you are getting much more accomplished each day.

The world is full of distractions. The television, your friends, online activities, chatting, networking too much, etc. No matter what the distraction, you need to learn to control against them and decide for yourself.

The cycle for success or the cycle for failure – YOU decide. I experienced something interesting today and I felt that I would spread this information on my blog. This is a phenomenon that the general masses are usually stuck in but unfortunately do not know that they are in.

This phenomenon works in two ways. One; it can be the cycle for success or two; it can be the cycle for failure. It works in a never ending rotation and once someone gets stuck in it, they eventually end up in a spiral that goes on to infinity.

To better understand this concept, we will first look at the cycle for failure. From there, we will proceed to discussing the cycle for success and how anyone can get in that loop. Let’s take a look at this four step cycle.

(1) Your Life Results (A)
In life, we all know that humans are never satisfied and no matter what we do or where we are, we will experience failure and negative results. The problem is that most individuals tend to focus their on the pessimistic results that they experience. By concentrating on these, their thoughts are negatively affected and they start on the cycle of eventual failure.

(2) Your Thoughts And Desires (B)
When their thoughts revolve around the negative, they start to centre their thoughts on issues like ‘why they do not have that dream home’, or ‘why they are not getting that income that they desire’ and they eventually convince themselves that they are trying but they just can’t reach it or afford it. Thoughts like ‘everything’s not going the way I want them to’ or ‘there’s nothing I can do’ start to dominate…

(3) Your Belief (C)
Once these thoughts start to govern, it is evident that they will eventually affect the individual’s believes and feelings. They start to feel depressed, frustrated, discouraged, disappointed and simply lose all motivation to do anything.

(4) Performance (D)
When that individual reaches this stage, they will eventually be distraught and lethargic. With all the negative thoughts and feelings, their performance drops and they lose any productivity they used to have. Their efforts eventually produce more negative results and the cycle comes full circle, starting again from the top.

As you can imagine, when that individual gets stuck in this spiral, they get overwhelmed in a perpetual sequence that keeps producing bad results and making them feel terrible. If this cycle continues, it is a definite that eventual failure will surface.

Of course there is a simple way to get out of that cycle and into the cycle of success but the main problem is that many are not able to see it. There are so many successful individuals out here – how do they do it? You see, the cycle itself does not really change; in fact, the cycle for success actually flows exactly the same way. All you really need to do is to change your starting point. Let’s Bring step ‘(2) Your Thoughts and Desires’ above and make it your starting point and let’s see how that works to bring you success

(1) Your Thoughts And Desires (B)
This time, we start from your thoughts and desires. The first thing you need to do is to control your own thoughts and desires! Tell yourself that you can perform and start by getting those simple results that eventually become larger rewards. Look at every event optimistically and learn from your failures. Tell yourself that no objective is too hard and persevere to obtain it. This time, from the focus on these positive aspects, you start to become a better person yourself and you actually add value to those around you.

(2) Your Belief (C)
When you start getting these positive thoughts going for you, you will soon find yourself feeling happier. You sense a whole new feeling of confidence and pleasure and everything just feels right. This eventually increases your motivation and makes you much more productive.

(3) Performance (D)
With a more productive mentality, your performance levels will start to sky rocket and you begin to realise that everything you do seems to bring in positive results.

(4) Your Life Results (A)
Once you have attained that level of performance, you start to really begin seeing those results that you have desired all along. These results act as a spur factor for you. You begin to understand more and gain more knowledge and eventually you begin to start creating more amazing thoughts. And from there, you once again begin the cycle by starting from the top. BUT this time round, you are in the success spiral.

When an individual starts his/her cycle by first controlling and focusing their thoughts, they can miraculously create the cycle for success in their lives and once this cycle starts going, they will begin to get overwhelmed– this time, they will be overwhelmed by the infinite amount of triumph that they achieve.

So my friends, if you are feeling down or out, you need to perk yourself up. Focus on starting your thoughts on a positive note. Get yourself in the cycle for success and begin to see the results that it will deliver! And soon, you can start living the life that you desire!

I use an acronym a lot to describe someone who talks the talk but does not walk the walk. This person is a “NATO” – No Action Talk Only! These people can think up ideas and have great aspirations but when it actually comes down to getting their hands dirty, nothing really happens and they reject the work. This attitude will only result in failure and if you want to succeed, do something about that dream TODAY!

4. (Flexible) Flexible In Times Of Need

The times that we are living in move at a lighting pace, and this is especially true in the internet world. New challenges appear every day and changes are the only constant. In order to be successful, you must be flexible enough to adapt to changes rapidly and keep up with the times. Otherwise, you will eventually be left behind.

5. (Articulate) Ability To Communicate

In the past, when doing business brick and mortar style, communication was usually the key to getting sales and this fact has not changed for an internet business. Although we now have many more mediums with which to communicate, like email, blogs, instant chats, social media sites and forums etc, eventually, the point of all these mediums is to reach your target audience and get your intended message across. If you cannot achieve that, then all the work that you do eventually goes to waste

6. (Optimistic) The Glass Is Always Half Full

A successful internet entrepreneur needs to always have a positive outlook in life. To be absolutely truthful I believe that this actually stands for all aspects in life but here, I’ll just keep to the business point of view. With a positive outlook, and a “can do” attitude, problems will become opportunities and issues will become life experiences.

7. (A Planner) Advance With A Purpose

To be a truly successful entrepreneur, you must have a plan. For every action that you take, you should be achieving a sub-task or goal towards a bigger plan. Achievement can only be gained when there is a goal to be accomplished and if this goal does not exist in a specific form you will find it hard to eventually attain it.

8. (Intelligent Bravery) Courage with Intelligence

I really love to use this phrase when describing the action of thinking TOO much but never taking any action – “ANALYSIS PARALYSIS”. It is imperative that proper due diligence and calculation is taken before any decision is made but once you know that something is going to work, then make the decision fast and take action. To truly succeed, risks must be taken and if too much time is wasted evaluating an opportunity, you’ll realise that it’s going to pass you very fast!

9. (Eager to Learn) Hungry For Knowledge and Skills

In order to keep up with the required knowledge to sustain an internet business, you must always put aside some time for enrichment and education. Learn more about successful marketing, about copywriting, about life in general and always be eager to know new things. Only when you develop yourself as a person can your business grow in relation.

The list of traits and skills of successful internet entrepreneurs can go on and on because humans will never cease to amaze at how they can be innovative and develop new skills and traits to succeed.
