This post is a little beginning and background about Justin Yong (that’s me) and basically how I got started on internet marketing and Carbon Copy PRO. I had 3 main factors that attributed to my decision and this post will elaborate a little one them.
Firstly, I was mentally set and determined to be my own boss. Secondly, circumstances were perfect. And lastly, Carbon Copy Pro provided the perfect avenue for me. I’ll just elaborate a little on each point in the next few paragraphs to keep with me.
Entrepreneurial Mindset
Ok so let’s first talk about entrepreneurship. Well, the topic of entrepreneurship was something that constantly lingered in my mind throughout my younger days. Much of the reason behind this could be accredited to my grandmother and my family background.
Ever since I was a young man, my grandmother would chat with me about being my own boss in the future and how I should strive to build a business for myself. Well don’t get it wrong, my grandmother was not the sort of old fashioned lady that would constantly be nagging about something, but in contrary, she always liked to talk about how it was great that I was getting a good education and that getting a good job would be good for me too but by some way or another, our conversations would eventually progress into starting some form of business myself.
You see, my grandmother herself was an entrepreneur during her younger days, and having been successful in running a shoe shop then, I felt that she truly believed in controlling your own destiny and not leaving it up to an employer.
Not only did she constantly remind me that going into a business of my own was one of the keys to achieving a better life but she also helped in keeping my flame for entrepreneurship alive throughout my years in university.
Another factor for my set entrepreneur mindset was the fact that my family is running its own business. My parents are running a pawnshop in Singapore and are doing really well for themselves.
Having seen them being so successful, I naturally wanted to achieve the same for myself. My family background plus the numerous books that talk about financial freedom ultimately steered me towards the having that determined mindset of wanting to become my own boss.
Situation and Circumstances
Although I was sure that I would want to become an entrepreneur sometime in my life, I was not decided as to WHEN I would start. I was at a major cross-road in my life where I had just graduated and was now going to look for a job. Starting my business now might seem like a wrong move – in a way it might seem like I was wasting my degree.
As it was, my graduation date happened to be smack in the centre of the recession in 2009, described by many as the worst ever recession since the great depression in the 1930s. Many of my friends were having problems getting jobs at all and I was caught up in the mist of all these.
Times were terrible and I remember meeting my friends and chatting over exactly how unlucky we were. Just a few months before, we were looking at possible S$4000 to S$5000 monthly paychecks with reputed companies but all of a sudden, we were in a situation where companies were only offering low end S$2000 – S$2500 pays with jobs with totally no prospects.
We would laugh at our situation and blame everything on our luck… I guess it was then that whilst looking for a job, I started to seriously think about doing a business of my own. I re-read books on the topic and did searches for possible franchises and in the process of doing so I gradually built my determination towards starting a business now instead of looking for a job.
Carbon Copy PRO
It might seem weird but how I actually got to know about Carbon Copy PRO was rather interesting. It was one of those usual evenings where I would just be surfing the internet and chatting with my friends online when I happened to come across a link that appealed to me.
It was about being my own boss and taking control of my future. So being curious I clicked on the link. And that CLICK was my first step towards achieving the freedom that I had always longed for. I went through the site and gradually got more and more excited; here in the pages in front of me was something that seemed to be the perfect opportunity for me.
I did a little research and decided to opt in to the site. From there, I was given more information and the more I read and heard from videos, the more it captivated me. Carbon Copy PRO provided such a captivating business model that I knew instantly that this was the way to go.
I continued to dig dipper into the entire process and learnt much more about the system. In the end, I eventually made up my mind and committed fully towards Carbon Copy PRO and from then I never looked back!
Since then, the education and knowledge that I have gained from the system has been exceptional and I recommend anyone that reads this to check it out too. Just follow my link here and read the page. We really have to meet at the M2 conference next month. We started CCPro at about the same time for about the same reason, in about the same way, and I’d really like to touch base with you there and share stories since then. Great post!
